Yep

Going to go sit and dump sand out of my shoes for the rest of the day.

I'm okay.  Really.
I've just found that when I hit my BS quota
AND
my allergies flare up
it's safer for everyone involved
if I take a Vow of Silence for the rest of the day.
:)

Ooh, sorry it's been a tough day. Drop down and look at the flower below. How stunning is that!

C'mere. No.... closer, now, let the little singing fella give you a big hug and a wee verse or two. Better? :¬)

I've been a little 'on edge' the past week, waiting on a medical procedure. And I could have been quite an irritable person. But I have learned to control my irritability, and other such moods (I have a good teacher, you might know him, cooks a lot?)and was calm as a swan floating on a lake (on the outside anyways!)

Being silent in the face of adversity is an art I'm still learning! You, on the other hand (or shoe) are quite the connoisseur I am sure my friend.

Tomorrow will be better, it is for me already. :¬)

Picture yourself near a stream.
Birds are singing in the crisp, cool mountain air.
Nothing can bother you here.
No one knows this secret place.
You are in total seclusion from that place called the world.
The soothing sound of a gentle waterfall fills the air with a cascade of serenity.
The water is clear.
You can easily make out the face of the person whose head you're holding under the water.

There now, feeling better?

An oldie, but a goodie :)

Titus: Thank you! Sometimes all you need is to know that you're heard as a human having a bad day and not a grumpy person just complaining. And said flower was kind enough to put out a new bloom to greet me when I got home. :)

maurcheen: yep, that did it. The hug probably would've almost cured me but the song added the "relax" factor that was missing. :) Most of the time I can grin and bear it, but yesterday was just a "straw that broke the camel's back" kind of day. Today is better, thanks to real friends. (We won't mention that someone could've been on hand to top it off with a chocolate cake from his kitchen but....) As for medical procedures...well, I'm a great support person and a lousy patient. Hope all is better. x

Kim: I literally laughed out loud this morning when I read that! You helped start the day off right and I thank you.

I know you're tough and hold up well under pressure... but everyone has their limit. At least you know when to withdraw and let the steam settle. And Maucheen's hug and song would settle anyone.

To this, and to Kim's laugh, I add a glass of whatever you like to imbibe, with a sit and bitch session if needed. Sometimes you don't even have to bitch... just the sit and sip will be enough. Hoping it all slips away and you feel relaxed and refreshed soon. xoxoxo
