Your Musical Top Ten

Listening to the radio on my morning commute, the DJs were compiling a list of "Songs That ALL Kids Should Know".   They ran the gamut, with selections like...

Little Richard: Tutti Frutti

Billy Joel: Piano Man

Don McLean: American Pie

Bee Gees: Staying Alive

Elton John: Daniel (would've thought Benny and the Jets)

The Eagles: Hotel California

Tom Petty: Free Falling

Vanilla Ice: Ice, Ice, Baby  (Really?!  Although one DJ thought M.C. Hammer's Hammer Time was a better choice)

With a nod to Country (and the South) they included Charlie Daniel's Band: Devil Went Down To Georgia

I'm curious.
What would make your Top Ten Musical List that you think kids should know?

The Rolling Stones
Aretha Franklin
The Doors
The Jam
Ian Dury
The Stereophonics
Diana Ross
Gladys Knight
The Wolfetones

...and of course that little singing fella fae Limerick, the wan with the dodgy haircut and the platform shoes.

The little singing fella is just heading out the door to Tipperary (it's not such a long way..) to do a bit of the singing but shall return later with a selection.

(Gladys Knight & The Wolfetones, now there's a band!) :¬)

Would any kind person heading towards Tipperary this very night please slow down at every bus stop and look out for the little singing fella. He isn't hard to spot, look for a cross between a wee bulldog and Elton John. If you could give him a lift it would be doing society a favour by keeping him off public transport. Don't forget to put newspaper down first, eh?

Map: The Wolfetones again. What have I missed? :)

Oh gracious, I don't know the Tom Petty song! And Mr T's just been teaching T1 the Charlie Daniels', due to the recent starting of violin lessons.

Mine's easy: Any track from any Led Zeppelin album x10.
