Friday 55

It's time to entertain the g-man with a 55 word story.  Make sure you share your masterpiece with him.

The dogwood petals,
launched from their tree by a spring breeze,
hung in mid air,
as if frozen in time.

“Wow! Isn’t Mother Nature amazing?” Joe asked,
gawking as the petals danced on air.
“It’s like they’re free of gravity.”

“Not hardly,” Sam grumbled, rubbing his nose.
“Pollen’s so thick they can’t reach the ground.”

NOTE: Camera phones aren't the best source for editing but...
if you look really close,
you'll see two white spots floating near the tree trunk.
They were being held in place by spiderwebs,
invisible in the morning sun.
