Thanks, Hope! Although I am now looking at a broken pic icon and even the link to the original shows the "account has been suspended."

Did you forget to pay your library fees again? ;-)

Ponita: so much for "free" clip art, huh?

It was Charlie Brown, Snoopy and Woodstock with a nice turkey saying "Happy Thanksgiving!"

Ponita: it gets even weirder! I can't "see" the clip art on my work computer but back home..there it is! I didn't download it to here, I simply told it to add from it's location.

Well, the sentiment is there, Hope, and that's what counts! ;-)

I'm here! I'm confused! It's a different day there?!

Titus: it is! Always catches me off guard.

Ours is the 4th Thursday in Nov., which this year is Nov. 24th.

What I've never asked is: I know why "we" celebrate the date we do, but why does Canada?

Titus et al: I will explain the reason for the differing dates. In the US, Thanksgiving has to do with the Pilgrims coming to America and in Canada, it marks the end of the harvest for farmers. Since winter comes early to Canada, harvest is done usually by the end of September.

When I lived in San Diego, I always did a Canadian Thanksgiving dinner in October with all my friends and then we celebrated US Thanksgiving in November! ;-)

And that's what friends are for...being helpful. Thanks!
