Microfiction Monday

So the trick is to write a story in 140 characters, then let Susan know you came to play.
This week's illustration

"I thought the bread crumb trail was fairly dumb,"
sighed Hansel's cousin Max.

"But everyone knows you're suppose to carry
a pig in a poke."

I'll try to visit as many of you as I can but the Word Verifications are slowing me down
to the point I may have to stop.  But if you visit me, I'll drop by to see you.

Oh no -- did the pig eat the trail back home?? LOL Well, the fatter he gets, the better -- right?

Sounds as if Max is out to make a quick dollar. Was the pig that ate the bread crumbs? Nice take on the picture Hope,

You have yourself a Wonderful Christmas.

That would have solved the problem, Hope. As long as it is porous enough for him to have breathing air.

Merry Christmas :)

I always wondered about that bread crumb trail. Hmmm.'

Pig in a poke though - now that's funny!

I do hope you'll visit and reconsider the word verification issue. Some of us have been spam targets so the only way we feel we can play is to be a little more cautious.

Merry Christmas!

Hey, that's great - I wondered how to work in the pig in a poke - didn't manage it, though.

lol, cute :-) i guess the pig ate the breadcrumbs, eh? For me, nothing beats homemade stufing with breadcrumbs. And look, the pig is already stuffed!

I've always thought the breadcrumbs were a nutty idea, too!

Great one, hope. Merry Christmas to you.

Thanks to all of y'all who stopped by to chat. Between long work days this week and a computer which likes to occasionally pout [does it not know that Santa is coming to town?] I haven't been able to keep up my end of the visiting bargain.

I'll work harder next time. Merry Christmas to each and every one of you!
