Friday 55

It's time to play "Write a story in 55 words".  And if you do, be sure to let the G-Man know.  Oh come on, you know you WANT to try it!

He found her in front of the t.v.,
a single tear trickling down her cheek.

“The News is so depressing,” he commented.
“Why watch it?”

“Because sometimes,
I need to be reminded of the kindness of strangers.
Reassured that a thread of goodness
still ties humanity together,” she smiled
as another miner exited the earth.

What a wonderful happy-ever-after ending this was (except for one wife of course) -- and the world has been long overdue for happy ever after!

We don't have tv but I had the laptop stuck on CNN all day, checking on them.

I live in the other side of Earth and I still felt much pleasure watching them emerge from the womb of Earth!

Lovely 55.

Yay, for our G-Man bringing so many peeps together like this!

Grim news and media created scares seem to sell better than good news. How sad is that. The media loves a potential disaster with a happy ending and the story in Chile was a miner miracle.
Great 55.
