Aerate, me lassies...Aerate! New shoes on the way--along with shoulder pads, helmet, football, and camera!GOOD one, Hope! Are you the same Hope I know? (Or used to know???--grin!)

Lawn aeration never looked more chic. Good one, Hope--and have a great week.

Oh my, so funny. With what it costs to buy shoes these day, Hank should have employed a gardener! I loved it.p.s. I’m running a competition this week and holding a blogfest in November. If you get time, pop along and have a look.
I like your take on this! Aerate away! ;-)my microfiction
Yep, they make great gardening implements :-)Nicely done.
Clever .. i like this! :o)
Excellent! Many's the lawn I've aerated . . .
Lol! I don't think spike heels were in back in the 1940s, but even non-spikey heels would sink into the wet soil of England! I can so identify with that!
HA!!!Thats a new twist...Love it!
I think the gloves and purses are the perfect touch to their 'aerating the lawn' attire! LOLHave a great week. Cheers!
I would never have thought of that!
"best way to aerate the lawn"... awesome! love your 140
I love it, and laughed too much. Then mapstew's comment made me laugh more! This blog is not good for my stomach muscles (or lack thereof) at the moment.
Hehe, I'm grinning after reading this. Have a great week.
LOL! They're shoes aren't going to look too fancy when the lawn is finished with them. This story really did make me laugh out loud! Very well done. Bravo!
Oh clever people! For new shoes I'd walk over a line to spike it LOL
if you can't dress up to aerate the lawn, when can you dress up?
For new shoes, You know how to whistle, don't you...Thanks for dropping by to read my 140 Hope your week goes well
Well we gals know how heels sink into a lawn don't we and it's one way of getting new shoes. ;)
Very funny indeed. I always hate tottering over lawns in high heels, but at least I now know there's a purpose to it.
Anything for new shoes. It's not easy to walk on the lawn in high heels.
