Friday 55

It's time to play "Write a story in 55 words".  And if you do, be sure to let the G-Man know.

Stuck behind the school bus, the drivers exhaled a collective sigh.
Here we go.

A small boy, barely taller than his backpack, got off.
Oblivious to the busy people,
he crossed the road at a snail’s pace.
Not a care in the world, thought the 1st driver.
I’d like to change places with him.

Ha...boy so would I. Excellent 55 my friend. We should all take some time to stop and just relax and go slow in this fast paced world. Very well done. Have a great Friday :)

Wonderfully expressed. That is the life in those early years. No cares...

Darned kid! Get a move on! (LOL!)

A real 'been there, done that' 55!

Ah, but carefree as he seems, the cares of a little guy can seem enormous to him.

Ahhh, I must be in a rare minority. I wouldn't want to repeat my grade school years for anything.
It was a nasty time, full of bullies and hatefulness and harassment.
I'm so glad it's over.
It was 30 years ago, and I still shake my head when I think of it.

I can only imagine that things are probably rough for today's kids too.

Thanks for doing Friday 55! :)

Mine's been posted here since last night, but it's taken me this long to visit and leave comments. Sorry about that.

Wouldn't it be nice to be like a Child and not have any cares in the World.

I thought like G-Man and figured you were going to have the bus driver run over the kid, glad you didn't.

Nice 55 Hope, you have a great weekend.

Loved it. Though if that was me, I would have probably ran the kid over. I hate dawdlers.
