Microfiction Monday

Write a story in 140 characters, then let Susan know you came to play.

This week's inspiration.
Off to see the Wizard, he said. Need a heart.

Yep, leaving me like this was heartless.
So Brainiac, you couldn't hand me the oil can first?

Sounds as if Dorothy and the Tin Man had words. He will be Lucky if Toto doesn't Mark his Boundary before heading off with Dorothy.

Poor Tin Man.

Nice one Hope.

Ah, poor Tin Man! Let's hope Toto finds a different place to lift his leg! Fun one, Hope! Hope you have a great week!

Funny one, hope. It's always the Brainiacs who walk off with the oil can!

Have a great week.

OMG Hope...we have similiar stories using the same character LOL How funny is that. Yours is excellent. Now let me see...where's that damn oil can? LOL Well done. Have a great week ahead :)

Very clever and witty, Hope! I, too, thought about rust in the armor. Hope the tin man finds oil soon.

And an umbrella, cause if it rains, or the sprinklers come on...he's up a creek.

Funny - how Sir Knight brings on hopeless romantic notions. It seems most unlikely and yet here we all are, falling under the charms of medieval chivalry - or none chivalry for that matter.

Nicely done!

Poor thing! Let's hope it doesn't rain and make his problem worse.

Saw a man in the movies that didn't have a heart
How I wish I could give him mine
Then I wouldn't have to feel it breaking all apart
And this emptiness inside would suit me fine

It's times like these
I wish I were a tin man
You could hurt me all you wanted
And I'd never even know
I'd give anything just to be the tin man
And I wouldn't have a heart and I wouldn't need a soul

I couldn't see your leavin' comin'
You took me by surprise
Even now it still seems like a dream
But I know I can't be dreamin'
'Cause as I lay down each night
The pain so great that it won't let me sleep

It's times like these
I wish I were a tin man
You could hurt me all you wanted
And I'd never even know
I'd give anything just to be the tin man
And I wouldn't have a heart and I wouldn't need a soul
Well I'd give anything just to be the tin man
And I wouldn't have a heart and I wouldn't miss you so

Gone for predicament today. My 140 is here

That's the thing with knights. They always needed a little squirt to help them ;-)
Enjoyed that.

Bastard! It's that little tramp with the red shoes all over again.

The Tin Man has never looked so feminine, though. :)

Gee and to think I had Sir Knight ticked off with the Tin Man leaving him behind...seems perhaps the Tin Guy is worse off with the company he took off with. :)

Thanks all for your comments!

It seems to work if he can squeak, "Oil can." Girls in ruby slippers find that sort of thing irresistible. Fun fiction!

Great!

I also agree with EG Wow - I thought it was a Lady Knight's suit of armour.

I would lend you an oil can if you would lend me a can opener! Funny one this week. Thanks!

Ah Tin Man - great take on the picture!

Wow, the Tin Man never entered my head at all - but he IS wearing shining armor, isn't he?

This was a great one!

Took a bit of a Brainiac to write this little tale... :)
