Hey Map! I’ll see your 20…

…and raise you 10.

That’s right. Aug. 8th marks the date when, 30 years ago I said “I do” to Hubby.

Cool thing is, I still do.

But how the heck did all those years go by so FAST?!

Hopefully things will get back to normal later today. Horrible Thunderstorm Friday evening knocked out the power...and the telephone. No phone, no DSL. It was such a bad storm that the Telephone repair guy didn't fix our line until 10:00 p.m. Saturday night! Seems they had 5 guys on call....and each one had 30 calls!

So, with today being our anniversary, we're off to play. Try to get back this evening to check in with the rest of the world.

Happy, Happy Anniversary to the two of you!!!! It's so nice to see a couple who still 'do' after all those years. So many of us end up on the 'I don't anymore' side of things.

Have fun playing with your man!!!

Okay, that didn't come out right...

You know what I mean! ;-)

Happy Anniversary to you and Hubby, a/k/a Mr. Hope! It's always great to hear about the long, successful marriages; I think that, nowadays, they're on the endangered species list.

So have another 30 with my compliments.

And I get back to find 8 comments. :) You do realize we were married on 8/8/80?

Thanks Pon! Yea, I feel like a real dinosaur sometimes, especially when an old classmate asked if I was "still" on my first husband!

Thanks Sav! I'll send your krewe mental good wishes!'re alive! I keep trying to go to your site and it won't let me. Thanks for your good wishes and I'll try again.

Thank you Nessa.

Monkey Man...I know! I wasn't a happy camper because [a] I had a ton of "homework" to do on the computer because the work one is so slow and [b] I sat around the house all day Sat. waiting instead of doing other stuff. So far no rain in sight for a couple of days. :)

Charlie...I'd be glad to add another 30 with this man. :) I told him when we got married he had a 100 year contract and at the end of that time, if he thought, at the age of 123 he could find someone better, to go ahead. ;)

No Map, you can have center stage...I just stole the spotlight for a minute. ;) Child bride, huh? Maybe in today's world, but I'd graduated from college and I think Mom worried I might still be an old maid. ;P

I'm telling ya Thom, find the right one and it's worth it. Thanks!

Wow, Happy Anniversary to both of you! You two keep my faith in love and marriage and all those good things that I'm tempted to think don't really exist. I hope you have another 30 years ahead of you at least!

And yeah, fast all right -- my oldest is off to college and I keep setting her place at the table.
