Microfiction Monday

Have you tried yet? Writing an entire story in 140 characters? If so, and you really ought to try for the fun of it, please let Susan know.

Here's this week's illustration.

It was true.
Betsy Ross didn't create the stars & stripes flag.
But after the 3rd drink, she'd convinced Congress little angels had sewn it.

They did drink a bit back during the Revolution. Nicely played.

And maybe they had. We do live in a blessed country. (although some days you just have to hope it's all part of God's plan...)

I'm glad there were some funny--nay, hilarious--ones in this week's MM honor roll. Yours takes the biscuit (or, since it's boozing Betsy, the bourbon.)

Have a great week.

Thanks for all your kind comments... and not calling the men with the butterfly nets to come get me. :)

Sorry I didn't answer individually this week...handling Auntie's estate seems like a full time job right now. And as the go-between for the bank and the family, I don't know who will shoot me first in all this heat. :0

By week's end the Summer Program will be over and if I'm not in jail for murdering the little angels, I hope to be fun again.

Oh you do humor so well!

Give 'em booze any they will believe anything. It reminds me of a Sunday school teacher (the preacher's wife) who told us in class one day the old,
candy's dandy but liquor's quicker!

Thanks for peeking at my ยต-fict. I am loving these different takes, yours is a on the human side because we can relate to sales people getting their clients liquored up! [Sorry I'm so late in getting here.]
