Microfiction Monday

With a mere 140 characters, craft a tale using the photo below. Then make sure you tell Susan you played along. Come on! It's fun.

This week's photo:

Dang it Bubba!
Guess there's no mystery how
the hole got there now.

It's OVER the rainbow you idjit.

So much for our gold prospecting trip.

Excellent! These really lift me on Mondays. It's always that last line that's so very, very clever.

I love this! It is rather rainbow-iffic, isn't it? And I'm sooooo glad we got a Bubba out of this ROFL! (and btw, if Bubba found a pot of gold in that rainbos... IS HE SINGLE??)

And then Steven puts the icing on the cake! That's an excellent entry there too.

I was here earlier and the comment page just would not load for me -- maybe a glitch with Blogger, yours or mine, but I'm glad I got here now. I have my Happy Ten ready to go on Wednesday (overslept on Sunday!)

I finally got with it and did my post of sweet friends. Thank you so much for this award. ( I admit that I love getting them.) :)
Hope you're feeling better.

Pot of gold? *perk* I've four daughters just waiting to care for the old man in his dotage... Great job on this one :D

And steven that's a hysterically comment!

Akelamalu...you're back! Hope you had a great trip.

savannah, there are so much fun to do! I never thought I could complete a thought in so few words. ;)

Sylvia...and I seem to know so many Bubbas!

SouthLakesMom...I envision them running over the pot and having to spend it to get that poor excuse of a car fixed. :)

jabblog: I do see the weirdest things sometimes.

Thanks Peggy! You know if Bubba found gold, he traded it for something like beer. :)

juliana...thanks and come back soon!

Titus, thanks for the compliment. And to think by the time I get to the last line I'm often trying to figure out what to cut out!

Susan, I'm so far behind in reading right now I feel criminal! Yep, steven added more than a good two cents worth...we need to get him to play.

Peggy, if it's the last thing I do today, I'm coming over to read! I'm sick of meetings!

The Skald...four!?! Man, and I thought having one sister was enough. :)

Mystery solved! LOL! I like Steven's "Where's the bug spray?", too!

And I'd say they skipped the gold mine and ended up with the shaft.

Quilldancer...ah, I can empathize with that one. You're right, steven's addition was perfect!

Johnny Q, where have you been hiding?! Good to hear from you. Now the rest of this gang will know the face of the man who MADE me start a blog. :)

Did I ever remember to thank you for that, once I was finished fussing the world didn't need another one?
