Although the concept of war should be outdated,
a subject for history books which reminds future generations
how backward society once was,
we still haven't gotten past violence as a solution.

And yet there are still those willing to step forward
and protect the home they love.

So to all the men and women who have served
and to those who serve today,
thank you for allowing me to sleep safely at home
while you protect us all.

Saluting you on Veteran's Day.

Thanks folks. It's so easy to complain about stuff [she said guiltily] but we often forget to thank those who aid us.

Wouldn't it be nice if the concept of Veteran's Day became obsolete because there were no more wars?

To all who serve and who have served.

And to a day sometime in the future when Armies are no longer needed and are a thing of the past.
