Microfiction Monday

So Susan said, "Can you write a story in 140 characters?"
And I said, "No. I can't write less than 500 words."
That was before Friday 55s. And now this.
Man, my previous editor would be so proud of me. Or angry. Not sure which.

Here's this weeks' photo, followed by my story.

"Double rainbow," he sputtered breathlessly,
checks flushed as he pointed skyward.
"You ever try to catch two leprechauns at the same time?"

WHOA, leprechauns spelled correctly, I love it! LOL That's actually hilarious now that you've got me thinking about it and imagining the possibilities.

I love your comments about being concise; I was also one of those school students who wrote X-page papers in the tiniest handwriting possible in order to squeeze in everything I wanted to say! My teachers would either be proud of me now or drop dead with frustration that I wasn't this way *before*!

We had a double one here today!
We like two of things.
We like this and laughed.

TWO leprechauns? Double the trouble! Double the fun? Your story is a super helping of double fun!

Susan, I say we stick with the self defense of "With age, comes wisdom". Doesn't mean we're old...just smarter. :)

Titus I hope you have double of Get Well Quick! at your house. :)

Thank ye, Barman. Did you fix your place to we can comment yet?

Thanks Quilly. I'm going now to go check out everyone. I tried at lunch but the work computer is too slow!

I have never ever tried to catch two leprechauns at the same time. Love your story, so full of wonder and perfect for the young at heart!

This was good, if only the Leprechauns and the Smurfs joined forces. Gargamel would have more to think about than Azreal's Litter Box.

Good one, I am still chuckling.

LOL. Finally some leprechauns. Melli will love this :). I love it, too. Have a wonderful week, Hope.

Such possibilities with a double rainbow. You made us consider what could be. Thanks!

So succinct that even the word succinct is too long to describe it. Good going.

Peggy I figured since I'm built low to the ground,I'd have an idea of where the little fellas would hide. ;)

Thanks Bill! Isn't it fun to get a glimpse of everyone's imagination? :)

Ah Barman, then I will make my way there on Tuesday to have a look!

Rosidah: and there I was thinking everyone would end up going that way. Just proves you never know.

Granny Sue: I'm still amazed at the variety one picture brings out in this group. :)

It's so nice to exercise the brain and sense of humor at the same time. :) Have a great Thanksgiving!
